Several things to consider before making any decisions.
1. Online degree programs usually have lesser value. Maybe if a very reputed university offers it and they specifically mention that your degree wont have any mention of online - then it might be worth looking into.
2. If you wish to change careers and are interested in the university's career resources, first make sure that any online or part-time students have access to those career resources - many universities dont allow their part-time students access to their regular career services - For example, UNC-CH doesnt.
3. If you can, talk to a current student who is enrolled in the program that you are considering - if you talk to the admissions officer of any program, they will be glad to connect you to their current student to answer any questions that you might have. You should ask the person for an honest opinion - do they think its worth it - how do they think it will help their career, etc.
4. Consider how much will it cost and can you manage it - consider the potential increase in earning after you complete the program, get a new and better job or get promotion.
5. Its not just what you learn in the class that will help you -you will develop excellent contacts (if you are in a classroom course). Many times students get job leads through such contacts.

As per company immigration HR, "since H1B extension was filed (Jun-06-2008) one week after GC labor filing (May-29-2008), we can apply next H1B extension based on May-01-2011 expiry".
Can you please reaffirm that we ought to file extension based on April 16, 2010 and not May-01-2011.

I spoke with the lawyer. She asked me to get an affidavit stating the arrest reason and also what happened. She will send this as soon she gets my receipt number.
I am not having any case/docket number since this happened 4 years back.
Lawyer is saying this should be ok and this falls under misdemeanor.
Any suggestion?
If it's a misdemeanor, you should find the case/docket number from the court and get the expungement record.. also give INS all the evidences.. if all is present, you won't have any problem. and send it to INS sooner so you save time on RFE too.

as far as previous employer has not revolved / canceled i140, and Priority date for i140 is backlogged, you can get 3 yr extension on h1b using previous employer's i140. if any of these does not satisfy, you do not get 3 yr ext. using old company i140.

Sadly Immigration voice is giving importance to the � number of posts� rather than �number of valuable posts� .
Some people are more interested to upgrade in their title by putting more number of comments, which will have no information.
I request every one to understand that these are just somebody thoughts/comments some time they may be correct and some times

Per RFE for I485 they want the proof of Employment Authorization in US starting 12th April 2004 to present.
I was going thru my all the I-797 approvals for myself and I found that there is a discontinuity in one of the old approval notice.
WAC-01-XXX-XXXXX 07/15/2001 - 04/05/2004
WAC-04- XXX-XXXXX 04/30/2004 - 01/18/2005 (This approval start after 25 days)
But the extension petition was filed prior to expiration of WAC-01-XXX-XXXXX on 17th Dec. 2003. Approval notice has the receive date of 17th Dec 2003.
Could this gap be a issue, That is why they are asking starting 12th April 2004?
Per my Lawyer, no need to worry because the extension petition was filed before the expiration of other.
Please advice.

My wife's RFE was because they saw she used FNU as her 1st name. They wanted to know if she wanted to keep the same FNU name for GC or not.

If your wife has gotten fp notice, then try to go along with her on the scheduled date and time, they could take yours too, provided you get the notice before the day on which her fp is scheduled.
