a favorite childhood book

Last year I asked momma for "The Giving Tree" as my Valentine's present. It was perfect and this year she did amazing by getting me a starbucks giftcard (I couldn't wait until the actual day of valentine's!). Back to the book...I loved growing up with this story and still love the deep meaning within it. The tree continues to give of itself even when its only a stump, it still wants the boy to visit her and find joy.

I also love the illustrations.
