Filgaia (known as Fargaia in the Japanese) is a fictional planet in which all of the Wild Arms Series events and stories take place. In many ways, Filgaia is much like Earth, except the planet home to different and oftentimes more fantastic flora and fauna. Filgaia is quite different from game to game. The layout of continents and their geography are in constant flux. There are a small amount of dungeons and towns which seem to reappear from title to title but for the most part it is a different world in every game; The people who live on Filgaia also in a constant state of change.
 Despite this, there are elements of Filgaia that are constant. Humans are the main inhabitants of Filgaia in each game and there are other species who originate or migrate to Filgaia, such as the Elw, Guardians, Metal Demons, Crimson Nobles, and certain kinds of Monsters. In some games Filgaia itself is known as it's own living organism. Filgaia-organism is also usually presented in a state of decay with greenery giving way to deserts and rock -- although the balance
between the two can vary greatly. The technology can vary between medieval swords and shields to advanced technology such as space ships and often times there is a mix between extremes. Magic is also present in each Wild Arms title and either comes from Ley Lines across the planet or from the Guardians.

Chapter one, titled "Gadgets a go-go," begins with the inventor Cid presenting with a pair of "Jet-Blades" and offers Chocobo a chance to take a test-run with them on the racetrack behind his lab. After the race, Mog the drops in and asks Cid about the progress of the racing machine he'd commissioned. Cid promises to bring the machine by tomorrow, but later confides to Chocobo he'd forgotten it. The next day, after presenting the doubtful Mog with his scooter, Chocobo and Mog race. After Chocobo wins, Mog confronts Cid over his vehicle's poor performance, but Cid replies that Chocobo won because of the differences in their abilities (i.e., Chocobo's "Dash"). He explains that the secret of Chocobo's "Dash" ability is the Blue Crystal on his leg-ring. Mog mulls over his inferior "Flap" ability and decides he wants a Blue Crystal as well, so Cid recommends that the two go on an adventure to find out the secret of the Blue Crystal

Tomba! is set on a group of islands in the middle of an ocean which do not appear on any map. Formed with great provinces in the north and smaller islands in the south, the region was home to peaceful people who lived in tranquility for many years. The island was once a beautiful place, home to birds and plantations.
The protagonist is an energetic pink-haired youngster named Tomba. One day, seven evil pigs appeared, and using their magical powers, they mutated the surroundings into a bizarre landscape. The underlings of The Evil Pigs, called the Koma Pigs, stole Tomba's grandfather's bracelet and a substantial amount of gold through a strange lust for it.
Tomba's quest is to fetch his bracelet, which requires trapping the Evil Pigs along the way. Trapping them involves finding the Evil Pig Bags, which are keys to entering each realm of each Evil Pig. He must also complete missions for other people to get items and the Evil Pig Bags. Some side-missions are purely for fun and irrelevant to the main storyline.

A boy known as Musashi, reincarnated from the legendary Brave Fencer Musashi who saved the Allucaneet Kingdom from a monster called the Wizard of Darkness 150 years before, is summoned to the Allucaneet by its Princess — named Fillet — to save it from the invading Thirstquencher Empire. Despite being a young boy, Musashi is given the blade Fusion, and charged with the task of obtaining Brave Fencer Musashi's sword — Lumina, the Sword of Luminescence — before the Thirstquencher Army does. Although Musashi has no intention in saving the kingdom, he agrees to do so in order to return to his homeland. After Musashi recovers Lumina, he finds that most of the people from the Allucaneet, including Fillet, have been kidnapped by the Thirstquencher Empire. In order to rescue all the residents from Allucaneet and defeat the Empire, Musashi starts searching for the Five Scrolls, items representing the elements able to highly expand Lumina's powers and then defeating the Crest Guardians who protect the Scroll's crests which are able to expand Lumina's powers. After collecting the Five Scrolls and freeing the first four crests, Musashi discovers Thirstquencher's base, a floating ship known as the Soda Fountain. Musashi attacks the base and defeats the Sky Guardian. Thirstquencher's leader, Flatski, forces Musashi to give him Lumina in exchange of the Princess, and frees the Sky Crest. However, this unleashes the Wizard of Darkness, who was in fact sealed within Lumina. Musashi recovers Lumina and defeats him. After returning the Princess to Allucaneet Kingdom, Musashi returns Lumina to the place where he found it.

Naruto: Ninja Council 1&2 is side-scroller game in which the player has to advance through a 2D level while fighting enemy ninja. The levels vary from the original anime locals like Akagahara and the third exam stadium to some new settings like a cave system. The player is able to double-jump and teleport up and sideways to get to places that are normally out of reach. The game also features special levels in which the character's speed doubles and is asked to run through the whole level while collecting leaf symbols in a specific time. The playable characters are Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, and it is also possible to unlockRock Lee. The player is able to swap between characters using the left trigger, and each one has a separate life bar,however when a health package is picked up by one character, it affects the whole party. In certain points of the game however, the player is not able to switch between one or two of the characters, which results in a higher difficulty level.

Combat is performed by using the attack button continuously. Jutsus can be performed by a simple combination of movement and attack buttons. Each character (Besides Lee) has three sets of Jutsus: Naruto can use his sexy jutsu, summoning jutsu and "Uzumaki Barrage".Sasuke is able to use his sharingan, "Lion Barrage" and Chidori. Sakura's jutsus are Speed boost, "Chaa!!" Barrage and timed "Chaa!!" Barrage. Ninja tools can also be acquired, and they are thrown using the attack button. Using scrolls that are scattered throughout the levels will result in one of the anime characters to appear and perform one of his Jutsus.

The plot of The Minish Cap revolves around the backstory of Vaati and the birth of the Four Sword, which were important elements of Four Swords andFour Swords Adventures. The Picori, also called Minish, are a race of tiny creatures that bestowed a young boy with a green garment, a sword, and a shining golden light many years before the game is set. There are three types of Minish: Town, Forest, and Mountain.

The quest begins when Link is chosen by the king of Hyrule to seek the help of the Picori after Vaati had petrified Princess Zelda. Link was chosen because only children can see the Picori. On the voyage he rescues Ezlo, a strange being resembling a green cap with a bird-like head, who joins him and can make Link shrink to the size of the Minish. Although it is not revealed at first, he and Vaati were once Minish (Picori)—Ezlo a renowned sage and craftsman and Vaati his apprentice. Vaati became corrupted by the madness and hatred of men and took a magic hat Ezlo had made for the humans in Hyrule. The hat grants any wish made by the bearer, and Vaati wished to become a powerful sorcerer. He then turned his old master, who had tried to stop him, into a hat. With the help of Ezlo, Link retrieves the four elemental artifacts and uses them to restore the Picori Blade to the Four Sword, capable of defeating Vaati.

After Link restores the Four Sword, Vaati turns Hyrule Castle into Dark Hyrule Castle—the final dungeon in the game. Link fights Vaati just before he can drain Zelda of all her Light Force. Link defeats Vaati after engaging in a fight that consists of Vaati changing forms. When Link and Zelda flee from the collapsing castle, they meet Vaati as he again changes form for the final battle of the game. After the battle, Ezlo returns to his original form. He finds the cap of wishes he created and gives it to Zelda, granting her a wish. The cursed people are cured and the castle is turned back to normal. The hat overflows with the power of life and disappears. Ezlo gives Link a new hat and tells him that he enjoyed traveling with him, then leaves just as the Minish world closes.

A button each for both punch and kick, the beast (transform/attack) button and a fourth button that has been either a throw button, a block button, an evade button (Introduced for some characters in Bloody Roar 4) and a rave button (An early version of the hyper beast in Bloody Roar 2 )

The gameplay experience of Bloody Roar 2 is a combination of classic and current style side scrolling fighting games. such as Tekken, Soul Calibur, Guilty Gear and Street Fighter. Although some of the characters have remained almost identical through all 4 games others have changed completely. For example Yugo has a completely different move set in the fourth title compared to his original in the first and Bakuryu has stayed almost the same apart from a few extras which are relevant to the games evolution over time and generations.

Characters in Bloody Roar 2have command moves and standard moves. Standard moves are the combination style moves from more simplistic games such as Tekken, where the player must press different buttons to create "combos", sometimes pressing the directional pad in one of the eight directions at the same time. Command moves are special moves that require a rolling technique and inputting certain commands with the directional pad, like Street Fighter. Each character has around 14 "suggested" combination techniques listed in the manual, most of these can be varied into many different ways, allowing nearly 40 - 70 combination techniques with each character. Every character also comes with at least 8 command moves, which can be incorporated into cancel points in these standard moves or combos. These cancel points from character to character can be around 20 - 40 in each character's combo palette. These cancel points, when utilized with command moves, can then be canceled once more, allowing the player to begin a new strategy with adequate timing. As well as this, the combat system has 3 types of dodging techniques, a heavy and light block that spans over 3 parts of the body, instead of the typical 2 in most fighting games, and "scratch" techniques, which can break guards from dead angles and a series of command counters, throws and vanishing attacks. Bloody Roar 4, the latest game in the series, may be the most complex of the series, with the largest fighter roster of 17 characters, and the ability to earn more moves by earning experience in "Career mode". However, since the Bloody Roar 2 games have a steep difficulty curve and tend to lack any tutorials, this depth is largely unknown, and the games have drawn criticism as "button mashers".

The story begins three weeks after Mega Man X5, with Zero missing, presumed dead, and the Earth's surface rendered uninhabitable. Rumors are spreading through the Reploid World of a Maverick named the Zero Nightmare, a Reploid of pure evil that is spreading chaos throughout the world. X, curious about this Maverick, and angered by its use of his late friend’s name, seeks him out.

After destroying the Zero Nightmare, X learns that Zero is alive, just recovering from damage sustained in the last game. When Zero is recovered, he joins X and they seek out the researchers who built the Zero Nightmare.

X finds the lead researcher, Gate, in his lab. After X defeats Gate in battle, Gate reveals that he has rebuilt Sigma, the leader of the Mavericks, but due to the timing of X's arrival Sigma isn't fully rebuilt. Sigma kills Gate, then challenges X to a duel. X is able to defeat the nearly rebuilt Sigma.

At the beginning of the game, the player is able to choose to play as the male lead or as the female lead, both of whom are named by the player. They each have a different quest, but their plots remain similar. Notably, the remake adapted many elements from the original game, which had their origin inFinal Fantasy, and favored elements traditional to Mana games (for example, the chocobo was replaced by cannon travel). One notable exception to this are moogles, which do appear in the game. Sword of Mana was made to resemble the graphical style of Seiken Densetsu 3, but the artwork rather resembles that of Legend of Mana.

The ring system from Secret of Mana is featured once again, allowing players to choose various options on the field screen. The day-and-night system introduced in Seiken Densetsu 3 also makes a return. Much like Legend of Mana, players can forge weapons, plant produce in an orchard, and read recorded events in the game's "Hot House" feature.

Sigma, who has been revived again (as in X4, it is unknown who revived him or how), conducts research on the origin and design of Zero and decides to discover how to unlock Zero's true power, hopefully destroying X in the process. Sigma attacks the Maverick Hunters directly, intending to lose. When he does, he spreads the Maverick virus across the Earth, throwing it into chaos. Meanwhile, a Reploid mercenary named Dynamo is hired by Sigma to make the space colony Eurasia collide with Earth. The Hunters have only 16 hours to stop the collision.

In order to prevent Eurasia from striking the planet, the Hunters pursue two options. The first option is to fire a powerful cannon called Enigma at Eurasia, vaporizing it. If the Enigma shot fails, the second option is to launch a space shuttle and pilot it into the colony, destroying it. To maximize their chances, X and Zero are dispatched to collect parts for the two devices. The necessary parts to upgrade the Enigma and shuttle are held by eightReploids and Mavericks), and X and Zero must defeat them to claim the parts.

Whether the Enigma and shuttle succeed or fail is randomly determined by the game, although the Enigma's chances of working successfully are low even with all its parts, while the shuttle has a much higher probability of succeeding assuming all of the parts are collected. Whether the Enigma succeeds or fails, a "new" virus appears on the Earth, noted by Alia as the Sigma virus combining with the scraps from the colony. If the Enigma or the shuttle succeeds, X and Zero proceed to hunt for the cause of the virus. If the shuttle fails or if the time expires, the colony crashes, nearly destroying the planet; Zero then is infected by the virus and goes Maverick.

In either case, once the location of the virus' origin is discovered, the Hunters investigate. X and Zero penetrate a bizarre underground fortress. In the fortress, X and Zero cross paths, where mutual suspicion and mistrust leads to a duel between the heroes (which had been foreshadowed since the end of Mega Man X3).

After the duel, the story diverges slightly. If Zero went Maverick, he sacrifices himself to save X from Sigma, and X continues on alone to defeat Sigma. If Zero did not go Maverick, he saves X and himself from Sigma, and both have a chance to confront Sigma.

There are three possible endings. If Zero went Maverick, X defeats Sigma, but is badly damaged. A mysterious figure recovers him, but also deletes all his memories of Zero. X is seen, three years later, talking to two other hunters, while Douglas, Alia, and Signas discuss the fact that X's memory of Zero has been deleted. This ending is treated as non-canon by Capcom, as there are further games where X and Zero work together.

If Zero did not go Maverick, Sigma decides to make the Hunters' victory for naught by taking them down with him. X tries to save Zero but is ambushed by Sigma and both Hunters are critically damaged. Zero manages to finish Sigma off, then the endings diverge again. If Zero defeated Sigma, he reflects on his origin and life before dying. If X defeated Sigma, he inherits Zero's beam saber and continues to fight as a Maverick Hunter. This is considered the "true" ending.

In each of X's endings, the mysterious figure is shown to be a hologram of Dr. Light, who discovers X's badly damaged body after the battle with Sigma and repairs X, saying "Not yet... Actually, I want you to rest and relax for now. Hold on X... Just for a few more moments."

The plot for Mega Man X4 is presented by both fully-animated full motion video (FMV) cutscenes and in-game text. The storyline differs slightly depending on whether the player chooses Mega Man X or Zero. Taking place in an ambiguous year in the 22nd century (21XX) and following the third defeat of the "Maverick" robot Sigma, Cain Labs issues an initiative to create a supplementary military force to complement the "Maverick Hunters". The army, called the "Repliforce", is a strict regime led by General and his second-in-command, Colonel. Six months following the inception of the group, Cain Labs finds its methods to be ineffective, questionable, and potentially dangerous in the Maverick defense. To make matters worse, behind the scenes, General has been meeting with a mysterious figure who plots the Hunters' demise, insinuating that they are a significant threat to the jurisdiction of the Maverick Hunters. Mayhem breaks out when the Sky Lagoon, a massive floating city, is sent crashing down onto the
city below it, killing millions of civilians, humans and Reploids alike. The game begins here where either X or Zero is dispatched to investigate possible causes of the disaster only to become entangled, once again, in a struggle against Sigma to save the world.

They were heading to the town Synesta for information on the whereabouts of Nina's older sister and Cray's love interest, Elina, who went missing several weeks earlier on a diplomatic mission. They were soon attacked by a berserk dragon and their sandflier crashed, forcing Nina to go to Sarai for spare parts while Cray guards their ride. Happening upon a crater left when a strange object landed from the sky, Nina confronts a large dragon who transforms before her eyes into a young man. Remembering nothing other than his name, Ryu, Nina surmises he must have amnesia and persuades him to help her search for her sister. Meanwhile, across the world in the western Fou Empire, the ancient Emperor Fou-Lu rises from his burial tomb, declaring that it is now his time to regain his throne, as he promised over six centuries ago. He commanded one of his Guardian dogs, Won-Qu, to guard the tomb before heading south. In his vulnerable, newly awakened state, he is attacked by Yohm, a general in the modern Fou army who is privy to Fou-Lu's long-prophesized resurrection, and aims to kill him before carrying out his plan. Fou-Lu was overpowered in the struggle, and struck down into a ravine.
Elsewhere, Ryu and Nina ran into trouble with a Fou Empire captain named Rasso and couldn't get the needed spare parts in the end. While escaping the Fou soldiers, they travel to a town blighted by an evil miasma known as "hex" to get back to Cray, where they meet Ershin, a mysterious robot-like armor who leads them through the poisoned side of town. Re-uniting with Cray, the team makes their way west to gather more information. The story shifts back to Fou-Lu, who has awakened after his ordeal with Yohm and finds himself in the care of a man named Bunyan. After recovering enough, Fou-Lu departs down the mountain only to find Yohm and his soldiers blocking the path. After a struggle, Fou-Lu is forced to flee by transforming into a dragon and flying away, declaring that he must find his "other half", Ryu, and re-unite with him before the Empire finds him first. Yohm summoned another creature to chase and strike Fou-Lu down. It succeeded and Fou-Lu crashes into the forest below.
By this time, Ryu and his friends have arrived at the border town of Kyojin, where they meet Captain Rasso again who attempts to block them from entering the Causeway's gates. Quickly escaping past the guards in Fou Empire's contient, the team make their way north where they meet Yuna, an Imperial scientist who knows of Elina. He claimed that she was here but no longer was. The soldiers then captures and returns them to the Eastern Lands with accusations of breaking the pre-war peace treaty by trespassing in their lands. The group is detained in the town of Ludia and Cray is set to stand trial on their behalf. The group tries to help by "lessing the evidence" against Cray but to no effect with the judge. With no other choice Ryu, Nina and Ershin break him out of captivity with the help of Scias, a tall, dog-like mercenary who joins their cause. Determined to clear their names and find Elina, they travel past a swamp and through a volcano to arrive in Wyndia, where after an audience with Nina's father, the king, the group continues west. After seeking the Wind Dragon at the top of an ancient temple and brought to an ancient summoners' village, the group learns of Ryu's heritage, why the Empire is after Ryu, and the danger he would be in should he and Fou-Lu ever meet. They also learned that Ershin was carrying an Endless' spirit named Deis. While the group learns all this, Captain Rasso tracked Ryu to the summoners' village and killed most of the villagers. They then meet Ursula, granddaughter of a high-ranking Fou Empire official and was against Rasso's savage methods. After attacking the villagers, Captain Rasso pulls out his trump card against Ryu. Ryu goes berserk and incinerates all the soldiers and Rasso and almost kills Ursula too but Nina manages to calm Ryu down. Before leaving for Kyojin again along the western border, Ursula joins the group to keep an eye on them. Learning that the Causeway broke down after their initial visit, they find that they need a ship in order to proceed with their journey.
Ryu and his team travel to the Emperor's pagoda to stop him, and find Ursula's adopted grandfather, General Rhuh, holding off several monsters and A-Tur charging the palace area. Dying in the struggle, Ursula's grandfather tells his daughter to stop Fou-Lu with her new friends, and restore the empire to its former glory. She agrees, and the group makes their way to the palace's inner sanctum, where Ryu personally confronts Fou-Lu and questions his motivation to destroy humanity after they have done so much for him in the past, recalling and comparing their memories. After an intense battle, Fou-Lu finally understands Ryu's defense and merges with Ryu to become the complete Yorae Dragon God. With the remaining dragon gods of the world deciding to now leave life in humanity's hands, they remove their presence from the planet. With Ryu's godhood now gone, he rejoins the group as a mortal and they leave the palace together to return home.
There is an alternative ending of the story where Fou-Lu absorbs Ryu, making him the dominant half where he then plans to end all life as the ultimate god, starting by killing Ryu's friends.

The game begins in a chrysm mine in a far corner of the world, where a rare and powerful mineral is being harvested from the fossilized remains of dragons. When a large deposit is cracked open by dynamite, a preserved baby dragon emerges and quickly attacks the panicked miners before being knocked unconscious and placed aboard a train to be taken away for study. On the way out of the mine, the dragon jostles his cage off the train and falls down a hill on the outskirts of a large forest, where he transforms into a young boy before again losing consciousness. He is found by a wandering thief named Rei, member of the cat-like Woren clan and fellow orphan who believes him to be just another abandoned child. Taking him to his home in the woods, they meet Teepo, Rei's longtime friend and partner-in-crime, who agrees to let the boy into their thieving operation, and find out that his name is Ryu, the only thing he can remember. The team commits several crimes, and come into favor with local village when they kill a Nue that is terrorizing the village. Shortly after however, they steal from the towns corrupt mayor and re-distribute the money to the village. The mayor however is secretly a member of a large crime syndicate, the mayor contacts two hitmen, the horse brothers Balio and Sunder, to seek revenge, who proceed to burn down the trio's home and violently attack, beat them easily and leave them for dead. Awakening a short while later, Ryu finds himself in the care of a woodsman named Bunyan who had found no trace of his friends. Believing them to be alive, Ryu travels to the city of Wyndia where he meets Nina, child daughter of the King, who helps him escape Balio and Sunder, who are now on his trail.

Permainan berlatar belakang di sebuah kerajaan bernama Scarlet Moon Empire yang berada di daerah Toran. Kerajaan ini diperintah oleh Barbarossa Rugner. Tokoh utama game ini adalah Tir McDohl (nama resmi yang diberikan untuk novelnya, nama resmi gamenya adalah McDohl), putra dari Teo McDohl yang merupakan salah satu jenderal besar di kerajaan Scarlet Moon. Cerita bermula dari Tir yang telah mengetahui tentang ketidak-beresan di dalam kekaisaran Scarlet Moon yang salah satu penyebabnya adalah wanita disamping Kaisar Barbarossa, Windy. Tir kemudian memutuskan untuk bergabung dengan suatu kelompok pembebasan yang dianggap oleh kerajaan sebagai kelompok pemberontak. Kelompok pembebasan ini diketuai oleh seorang wanita bernama Odessa, dan disamping Odessa terdapat 2 orang pria sebagai wakilnya yaitu Flik dan Viktor. Tir yang dianggap pengkhianat oleh kerajaan karena memihak kelompok pembebasan ini, kemudian melarikan diri dan bersembunyi di salah satu markas kelompok pembebasan dibawah tanah. Pada suatu waktu markas rahasia ini ketahuan oleh kerajaan Scarlet Moon dan kemudian diserang, pada penyerangan ini menyebabkan ketua dari kelompok pembebasan meninggal, dan sebelum meninggal dia berpesan bahwa Tir McDohl akan ditunjuk sebagai penggantinya. Pada awalnya banyak yang meragukan keputusan ini karena Tir McDohl masih muda, tapi karena pesan terakhir, pada akhirnya semua menerima.
Dalam perjalannnya ditemani beberapa karakter lain yaitu Gremio, Cleo, dan Pahn, Tir bertemu Leknaat, seorang wanita misterius yang memberitahukan bahwa Tir akan menjadi Tenkai Star, pahlawan yang akan memimpin 108 Stars of Destiny dan membawa kedamaian dan kemakmuran baru. Tir kemudian berjuang memimpin pasukan untuk membebaskan daerah Toran dari Scarlet Moon Empire yang telah dikuasai oleh penyihir istana bernama Windy.
Sebagai Tenkai Star, Tir memiliki Rune of Life and Death (Souleater Rune), sebuah True Rune yang memiliki kemampuan mengendalikan nyawa manusia. Tir mendapatkan True Rune ini menjelang teman baiknya, Ted pemilik Souleater Rune sebelumnya, meninggal dunia. Ted meninggal akibat pemburuan yang dilakukan oleh Windy, dimana Windy berusaha untuk merampas Souleater Rune.
Selama menggalang kekuatan, kelompok pembebasan berhasil merekrut ahli strategi bernama Mathiu dari keluarga Silverberg, sebuah keluarga yang sudah terpandang secara generasi ke generasi. Tir dengan berat juga diharuskan melawan ayahnya sendiri, Teo McDohl yang merupakan salah satu dari 6 jendral kerajaan Scarlet Moon. Pada akhirnya Teo McDohl meninggal, dan kesedihan yang dialami Tir membuat kekuatan Soul Eater menjadi lebih kuat. Setelah melalui beberapa peperangan dan berhasil mengalahkan satu per satu jendral perang Scarlet Moon, para jendral yang ditaklukan tersebut kebanyakan bergabung dengan kelompok pembebasan, karena mereka pada dasarnya juga merasa bahwa kerajaan Scarlet Moon telah dikontrol oleh Windy, sedangkan kaisar mereka Barbarossa, tidak bertindak apa-apa membiarkan Windy bertindak sesuka hati. Para jendral itu juga menyadari kalau selama ini mereka dikendalikan oleh black rune, sebuah rune yang diberikan oleh Windy kepada mereka yang dikatakan Windy memberi kekuatan, padahal sebenarnya agar Windy dapat mengedalikan mereka. Pada akhirnya Windy berhasil dikalahkan oleh kelompok pembebasan yang telah dibantu oleh Leknaat, Luc, pasukan Ksatria Naga, Mathiu, Leon, dan lainnya. Barbarossa dan Windy yang telah dikalahkan kemudian melompat dari atas Kastil dan keberadaan mereka tidak diketahui tetapi banyak yang beranggapan bahwa mereka telah meninggal.

Final Fantasy Tactics (sering disingkat FFT) adalah sebuah permainan video RPG taktik yang dikembangkan oleh Squaresoft untuk Sony PlayStation. Permainan ini didistribusikan di Jepang oleh Square, dan di Amerika Utara oleh Sony Computer Entertainment America. Permainan ini tidak dirilis diEropa.
Dengan menggabungkan elemen-elemen tematik dalam seri Final Fantasy dengan sebuah game engine dan sistem pertarungan yang sama sekali baru,Final Fantasy Tactics menjawab seri Ogre Battle / Tactics Ogre Quest yang terkenal, dengan sejumlah konsep pokok dan elemen sejenis. Hal ini sebagian sebabkan oleh bergabungnya beberapa mantan staf Quest dalam tim pengembang, termasuk pimpinan Yasumi Matsuno, desainer karakterAkihiko Yoshida, sutradara artistik Hiroshi Minagawa dan komposer Hitoshi Sakimoto, yang semuanya meninggalkan Quest untuk bekerja di Square. Berbeda dengan judul-judul Final Fantasy era 32-bit lainnya, Final Fantasy Tactics menggunakan layar isometrik 3D yang dapat berputar, beserta karakter-karakter dengan sprite bitmap.

Sebuah spinoff dibuat pada tahun 2003, bernama Final Fantasy Tactics Advance untuk Game Boy Advance. Permainan ini bertempat di dunia yang berbeda dengan Final Fantasy Tactics, namun menggunakan nama yang sama, Ivalice.
